About Us
Empathy Works is a warm and welcoming group of psychotherapists located in the heart of the Napa Valley.
At Empathy Works we believe that therapy is an opportunity for clients to learn to communicate in deeper and more meaningful ways and that this process creates stronger emotional bonds which lead to greater individual and relational satisfaction.
Our practice is designed to meet the diverse needs of our community by offering therapists with different backgrounds and specialties. Blending compassionate counseling techniques with evidence-based therapies, we help our clients improve their lives and relationships.
Using an integrative approach, we pull from multiple orientations including: Attachment Theory, Differentiation, Neuroscience, modern Psychodynamic Theory, Family Systems Theories, Mindfulness techniques, Somatic Therapy, Positive Psychology, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a form of therapy that combines Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with Eastern meditation, and CBT
We work with clients across the lifespan on a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting, stage of life transitions, trauma, and grief and loss.
Working with couples and families, we focus on all stages of relationship including premarital counseling, couples and families looking for deeper connection or in crisis and those considering or in the process of separating.
Asking for support can be difficult, but it is also the first step on your path toward a better life. In our work as therapists, it is truly an honor to sit with people in times of healing, growth and change. We are here to support you.
