Benefits of Telehealth

Graphic sharing benefits of remote therapy sessions

Graphic Created by Lucas Harris, AMFT | Empathy Works Therapy

Empathy Works Therapy offers both in-person sessions in Napa, CA, as well as telehealth sessions for California residents.  Both are very helpful and they have different positives to them!  This post is all about telehealth.

One of our wonderful therapists, Lucas Harris, created this cheerful graphic to share with our new and potential clients about the benefits of telehealth.  This came about from a conversation our team had about the different advantages remote sessions have that in-person sessions may not.

In the interest of helping connect folks to a therapist sooner and reduce waiting time, we created this post.  I love how Lucas' graphic showcases many of the positives, and there are even more that come to mind.

As the Intake Coordinator, I regularly hear from folks that they prefer in-person sessions only.  So it is not a surprise that in-person spots tend to fill up faster.  And sometimes folks prefer to be on a waitlist rather than consider remote sessions as well.  I am happy to support their requests of course.  And I also wonder if some aspects of the benefits of telehealth may be simply overlooked and not always considered.

While there is also a strong case for the benefits of in-person therapy, did you know remote sessions can be just as effective as in-person sessions?  In fact, a few of our therapists only offer remote sessions!  It may also be helpful to share that many of our in-person clients have found that a hybrid between in-person and remote sessions end up working best for their needs.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to me and I can help connect you with a therapist on our team.  I hope this post is helpful and I look forward to hearing from you.
